Savannah’s “Whispers and Waves” Art Exhibit Features Exquisite Artwork of Two Celebrated Artists

The Society of Bluffton Artists (SOBA) Gallery eagerly announces the forthcoming art exhibition titled, “Whispers and Waves”. The exhibit will showcase the remarkable works of two proficient artists: Karen Serafini, famous for beautiful resin art and glass-like sculptures, and Theresa King, known for mood-lifting paintings.

The exhibit is set to run from September 1-28, with the grand opening reception planned on September 4 from 5-7 p.m. at the prestigious SOBA Gallery, situated in the historic Old Town Bluffton.

About Theresa King

Theresa King, a high-spirited, self-taught artist, channels her passion into creating awe-inspiring images instilled with soothing energy. Her artistic journey was sparked by a personal battle with cancer in 2008, during which she found the healing powers of positivity and art. Despite various challenges, including caregiving for her family, Theresa has built a unique art style that manifest her profound bond with nature and spirituality. Her radiant pieces, brimming with the feeling of recovery and peace, resonate with audiences around the globe.

“My way of dealing with this terrible disease was to allow myself to have my fear, anger, and pity party, but I didn’t like how I felt,” she said. “ So, for every minute I spent on those real emotions, I forced myself to spend equal time on something that made me happy.”

About Karen Serafini

Karen Serafini, inspired by the hues and forms of the ocean and sky, creates captivating, glass-like sculptures fashioned from resin. Her background in healthcare and pharmaceutical research sets a unique stage for her mastery over the complexities of resin art, resulting in stunning, award-winning creations.

“Through my artwork, I try to celebrate the life and colors of our world, especially the ocean and sky,” she said. “I love working with resin because it gives me the opportunity to create unique works of art – no piece is ever the same – while also indulging my lifelong fascination with science.”
