“What Do You See?” Abstract Art Show Exhibits in October

Bluffton, SC – The Society of Bluffton Artists (SOBA) has announced their latest featured artist exhibit titled “What Do You See?“. This intriguing abstract art showcase, featuring the creative works of artist Jane Capraro, also known artistically as “JC Kuller,” is set to run from Sunday, October 6 through Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the SOBA Gallery.

Welcome to an Unconventional Art Journey

The abstract art journey of Jane Capraro is deeply rooted in her father’s influence, John Kuller, a talented illustrator and oil painter. Jane imbibed the love for art at a young age but the rhythms of life steered her into the corporate world of banking. After a successful stint in New York City’s banking world, Jane found her way back to her first love – painting.

Nestling in the nurturing arms of artist Missy Gentile’s mentorship at SOBA, Jane dived into the exploration of abstract and abstract expressionism. This exploration dramatically altered her creative expressions. Jane’s resulting artworks are characterized by vibrant energy, discreet meanings, and a profound reflection of human emotions.

Acknowledged Artist

In 2024, the discerning art world recognized Jane’s immense talent and awarded her the prestigious “Best in Show” for her abstract creation titled “The Queen”. Today, Jane Capraro is an admired name in the local art community, with her works being proudly displayed at Alexander’s Restaurant on Hilton Head Island and at the SOBA Gallery.

Opening Reception

The abstract art community and art enthusiasts in general are all cordially invited to the inauguration ceremony of “What Do You See?” on Friday, October 11, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. This is a unique opportunity for art lovers to meet the artist in person and get immersed in her thought-provoking and captivating artworks.

“What Do You See?”

While talking about her abstract creations, Jane has shared that her aim has always been to create transcendent art that compels viewers to traverse unknown magical worlds; worlds that may be humor-ridden, peaceful, sad, or stress the need for justice.
