Hilton Head, S.C. – The Wake Forest women’s golf team has finished their play at the 2024 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate with two players securing spots inside the top 10. Freshman Brooke Rivers showcased her best performance on the final day, finishing two under for the event and tying for seventh place. This marked her best finish of the season. Fellow freshman Macy Pate also had a strong showing, finishing one under for the week and inside the top 10.
Graduate Rachel Kuehn closed out the tournament with a steady performance, finishing at four over for the week. Sophomore Anne-Sterre den Dunnen, who started strong in the first round, faced challenges in the following rounds but still contributed to the team’s efforts.
“I am very proud of these young ladies this week. To compete with only four golfers and finish as we did shows the strength of this team. We will continue to work on getting everyone healthy and ready for postseason play.” – Head Coach Kim Lewellen
Wake Forest has two events remaining on their spring schedule before the postseason kicks off with the ACC Championship in Wilmington in April. The team will participate in the Valspar Augusta Invitational in Georgia on March 9-10, followed by the Wolfpack Match Play event in Raleigh on April 8-9.
