In addition to the tornado warning, the weather service has also issued a flood advisory for Savannah, which is expected to remain in effect until 9:30 p.m. Although no significant river flooding is currently anticipated, there could be minor flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

It is also strongly suggested that mobile home residents get to their planned safe location as quickly as possible once a tornado watch is issued, giving the severity of the situation.

Community members outside or in vehicles should similarly find an indoor location, ideally in robust construction away from potential flying debris, although it’s essential to be off the roads during the potential impact period, particularly if conditions wors arrivals.
