Hello, Beaufort County! As we gear up for Thanksgiving week, it looks like we’re in for a little weather rollercoaster. After a chilly weekend with some standout wind gusts, things are going to warm up quite nicely just in time for the holiday festivities!
Meteorologists are saying we should expect mild temperatures throughout the week, and the best part? Minimal rainfall and no signs of tropical activity brewing in the Gulf of Mexico. That means travel routes across the Southeast should remain fairly hassle-free for anyone hitting the road or taking to the skies to spend the holiday with loved ones.
This weekend, we’ll be experiencing a series of cold fronts, especially in the Hilton Head Island area. Look out for Friday, which is expected to be the coldest day, with highs barely scraping the upper 50s and lows dipping down to around 40 degrees Fahrenheit. So be sure to bundle up if you’re heading out for your Friday evening plans!
Thankfully, relief is on the way. Starting Saturday, expect those high temperatures to rebound into the 60s and inching up into the low-to-mid 70s at the start of the holiday week. That should make spending time outdoors for Thanksgiving much more pleasant.
Now let’s talk turkey! Thanksgiving Day is looking bright with a high of 73 and a low of 49. If you’re planning your family dinner outside, the forecast is calling for a sunny afternoon with temperatures reaching into the lower 60s.
For those who love a bit of wind, expect west winds around 15 to 20 mph, accompanied by gusts up to 30 mph. So hang onto your hats! As the night kicks in, the temps will cool down, dropping to the lower 40s under clear skies. Sounds like a perfect night for some cozy fireside gatherings!
As we sail into the weekend, the pleasant weather continues:
As we approach Thanksgiving, it looks like we are in for some delightful weather, which is always a blessing for holiday travelers and family gatherings alike. So whether you’re cooking, traveling, or just enjoying the outdoors, make sure to soak up that lovely sunshine!
Stay warm, embrace the upcoming warmth, and have a fantastic Thanksgiving week, Beaufort County!
