South Carolina High School Football Scores: Week 5 Roundup

This past week marked an exciting continuation of the 2024 South Carolina high school football season. Several teams showcased their skills in dominating performances, while others fought fiercely for hard-earned victories across the state.

Wednesday’s Game Highlights

Wednesday saw some impressive matchups. The Barnwell team crushed Silver Bluff with a score of 47-0, demonstrating their strong tactics and teamwork. Meanwhile, Batesburg-Leesville also enjoyed a commanding win, defeating Mid-Carolina by a score of 48-0. Another standout performance was from Belton-Honea Path as they overpowered Chapman 42-7.

In other games, Berkeley secured a solid win against St. James with a score of 43-7. Bishop England took down Woodland 27-10, while Blythewood celebrated a 35-13 victory over Spring Valley.

Broome and Blacksburg faced off in a nail-biter with Broome ultimately winning 48-41. Byrnes had a closer contest against Dorman, coming out on top with a narrow 14-3 victory, while Carvers Bay seized the win against Green Sea Floyds 42-18.

Fox Creek welcomed Williston-Elko with a strong showing, winning 42-14. Hanahan edged out Andrews 29-28 in another close contest. Keenan defeated Chester with a final score of 46-30, proving their mettle on the field.

Lexington lit up the scoreboard against Laurens, achieving a decisive 29-0 victory. Lower Richland’s game against Crestwood concluded with a 26-21 score, favoring Lower Richland. Midland Valley topped Brookland-Cayce 42-21 while Myrtle Beach took command against Cane Bay with a score of 36-6.

In Pageland, Pageland Central triumphed over Anson 32-7, and Ridge Spring-Monetta emerged victorious against Whitmire 12-2. A tightly contested game saw Socastee defeat Loris by just one point, 14-13. Stratford finished strongly against Colleton County, winning 41-14.

The evening capped off with Sumter overpowering Lugoff-Elgin 42-7 and White Knoll shutting out Fort Dorchester with a score of 38-0.

Thursday and Friday Games

Thursday featured Lake View as they dominated Hemingway, winning 49-0. The Kingstree at Lake City matchup added more excitement to the week as anticipation built for the Friday games.

Friday night games brought even more thrilling action. Darlington showcased their offensive talents with a high-scoring game against Lakewood, finishing 50-26. Hartsville wasn’t far behind, leaving Wilson behind with a score of 49-6.

Northwestern displayed their impact with a resounding victory over Catawba Ridge 59-17. In another closely matched contest, Patrick Henry secured a 29-20 win against Faith Christian.

Pee Dee took victory against Lee 38-16, while Pinewood Prep delivered an overwhelming performance against Hilton Head Christian, finishing at 60-20. Summerville continued to impress with a 43-21 win over Goose Creek.

As Friday night rolled on, Wilson Hall narrowly defeated Florence Christian 15-14. Ongoing games like Andrew Jackson vs Fairfield Central and others added to the excitement throughout the state.
