Boys Basketball Highlights

Let’s dive into some amazing performances from our boys on the court. One Queens signee has been on fire lately! He kicked it off with a fantastic showing, scoring 17 points while shooting an impressive 7-of-10 against Charlotte’s Independence, leading his team to a 70-66 victory. He didn’t stop there—next up, he dropped a jaw-dropping 27 points with a 12-of-17 shooting performance in a 94-82 win over Cannon School. Talk about a scoring machine!

Over in Hemingway, another sharp shooter scored 21 points, with 1263-53 semifinal win against South Florence at the 38th Pepsi Carolina Classic. And guess what? The Armada took home the championship title!

Some standout action also came from a 6-foot-2 senior who posted 26 points in a 69-54 victory over Lexington at the Cayce Roundball Classic. Meanwhile, Brown made his mark with 17 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, helping the Knights edge past Wilson with a score of 59-54 at the Pepsi Classic.

A young 5-foot-9 sophomore point guard also shined brightly, contributing 14 points, 5 rebounds, 13 assists, and 4 steals during the Rebels’ dominant 75-46 victory over Chapin. In another standout performance, Jones lit up the scoreboards with an impressive 34 points, making 4-of-5 from 3-point range in the Warriors’ 71-61 win against Fox Creek, and he followed that up with 35 points in a victory over Camden.

Also, let’s not forget a 5-foot-9 junior point guard who played a key role in the Wildcats’ 73-49 win, recording 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Harpring scored 22 points in the Dolphins’ triumph over May River, and a 6-foot-8 forward put up a sturdy performance with 10 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 blocks in a close match against James Island.

Girls Basketball Highlights

Now, let’s shift gears to our incredible girls! The action is just as thrilling! Lydia has been making waves for the Indians, scoring 19 points to carry her team to a solid 67-40 victory over Cross Creek. Not to mention, she added 9 points and 2 assists in a stunning 72-6 rout against East Gaston.

Moore had a standout day too, achieving 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals in a close contest against Norcross. In another exhilarating game, Maralit snagged 16 points alongside 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals in their 54-24 victory against Woodruff.

Not to be outdone, Wilson brought her A-game, scoring 33 points on an efficient 14-of-24 shooting in the Tigers’ 63-57 win over A.C. Flora. Meanwhile, a 5-foot-5 freshman led her Stallions to a commanding 68-34 victory with a remarkable 29 points against Evans.

One of the biggest performances came from Thomas, who dominated the court with 29 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 steals in the Bengals’ 65-48 win over Crestwood. A 5-foot-11 senior also impressed with her 28 points as the Swamp Foxes faced off against East Forsyth.
