Moon King Entertainment Group announced plans to widen the footprint of HHI’s Side Hustle Brewing Co. The expansion includes the inclusion of a new Taproom located in the heart of Bluffton, at 10 Buck Island Road. The bar is expected to operate from Tuesday through Friday between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. respectively.
Expressing their excitement, Lee Holyoak, the Director of Brewing Operations, mentioned that the Taproom would feature 10 of their award-winning craft beers on tap. Alongside the wide selection of beers, the Taproom will also stock 4-packs of their core Fixed Assets, as well as several seasonal Variable Assets to-go for patrons who choose to enjoy their beers at home.
Mr. Holyoak said, “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our new Side Hustle Taproom in Bluffton. This space embodies our passion for craft beer and community, and we can’t wait to share our award-winning brews and warm hospitality with everyone.”
The new Taproom is situated in the old Island Packet newspaper building located next to the larger of their two current brewery operations. While there may be provisions for tours of the larger operation in future, patrons can, for now, enjoy their beverages inside the bar, outfitted with flat screen televisions, or sit outside where ample seating is available. Additionally, food trucks will be present every week from Friday through Sunday bringing variety to the dining options. The Side Hustle Brewing Co. will also continue to serve customers at their primary location at The Bank, Hilton Head’s Beer Garden.
Side Hustle Brewing Co. originated from Co-founder, Lee Holyoak’s garage as a casual hobby. His exceptional brewing skills and entrepreneurial spirit transformed his passion for craft brewing into a full-fledged business. The “Side Hustle” name is a nod to the shared appreciation and relentless work ethic of many who balance their brewing passion with a full-time career.
Today, the brewery is set apart by its exceptional ability to blend traditional brewing techniques with bold and daring flavors. The brewery has been acknowledged with multiple major awards including the 2023 Bronze for Make It Rain in the Juicy/Hazy IPA category and a Silver for South Island Pilsner at the 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championships.
The new Bluffton expansion is yet another milestone in the growth of Side Hustle and is bound to add to the brewery’s accolades in the craft beer community.
