Bluffton, South Carolina — Side Hustle Brewing Company, cherished for its handcrafted brews, is thrilled to announce it’s expansion into Bluffton with the launch of a new Taproom. The expansion comes as a response to the brewer’s overwhelming success and consistent demand for their distinctive craft beers.
According to Lee Holyoak, Director of Brewing Operations, the new Taproom, located at 10 Buck Island Road, will open from Tuesday to Friday (3 p.m. – 9 p.m.), Saturday (12 p.m. – 9 p.m.), and Sunday (12 p.m. – 6 p.m.). Featuring as many as ten of their award-winning craft beers on tap, the expansion is expected to broaden the company’s reach to new customers.
A Brand Born Out of Passion
Side Hustle Brewing Company was born in co-founder Holyoak’s garage, as a casual hobby. His entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with a relentless work ethic, soon transformed his zeal for brewing into a thriving business. The moniker, “Side Hustle”, is a nod to the many who balance their passions with full-time careers.
Renowned Brewery Enhances Local Scene with Expansion
Following their immense success, Holyoak conveyed his enthusiasm for the Bluffton expansion, claiming it perfectly aligns with the company’s commitment to enhancing the local brewing scene and fostering a sense of community. This new addition is situated adjacent to the larger of their two existing brewery operations in an old newspaper building and may offer tour opportunities in the future.
Bluffton’s Taproom, for now, offers a cozy bar equipped with flat screens and an outdoor seating area. The beer-loving community can anticipate weekly food trucks from Friday to Sunday, adding to the versatility and charm of the space. Lovers of Side Hustle brews can also still flock to their main location at The Bank, Hilton Head’s touted Beer Garden.
Bold Brews, Multiple Awards
With its creative approach to traditional brewing, Side Hustle Brewing Company has bagged multiple major awards. A highlight of its accolades include a Bronze for Make It Rain in the Juicy/Hazy IPA category, and a Silver for South Island Pilsner at the esteemed 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championships.
Meanwhile, visitors of the new Bluffton Taproom can expect a selection of their core Fixed Assets and seasonal Variable Assets brews available in 4-packs to go, a fitting testament to the company’s commitment to quality and consistency in their craft.
