Savannah Looks Forward to the Highly Anticipated SCADstyle 2024

Savannah, a city known for its vibrant arts culture, is all set to host the renowned SCADstyle 2024 event. Spearheaded by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), the eagerly awaited program will kick off on April 8 until April 10, showcasing exceptional insights from distinguished leaders in the fields of fashion, interior design, graphic design, illustration, beauty, and advertising, among others.

Impressive Line-up of Industry Giants and Innovators

SCADstyle 2024 serves as a platform where luminaries and innovators in design and lifestyle converge, making it a monumental event for those involved in the industry. This year’s line-up boasts an outstanding array of powerhouse personalities including Francesco Risso, creative director of Marni; Hillary Taymour, founder and creative director at Collina Strada; Craig Robins, co-founder of Design Miami/; Waterworks co-founder and SVP Barbara Sallick; architect, interior designer, and founder of Jayne Design Studio Thomas Jayne; fashion designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin; photographer Michael Bailey-Gates; editor, curator, and art consultant Stefano Tonchi; co-founder and partner of Yabu Pushelberg George Yabu; chief creative officer of Glossier Marie Suter; creative director of amika Matthew Stetson; Washington Post fashion journalist Rachel Tashjian; and fashion writer Charlie Porter.

SCAD Alumni Recognized During SCADstyle 2024

SCADstyle 2024 is also committed to showcasing the achievements of the university’s alumni. The Alumni Voices panel will feature distinguished graduates making significant contributions to their respective industries. This includes Emily Smith, Creative Director of Lafayette 148 New York, Lulu LaFortune, a furniture and lighting designer, and Kan Ando, senior designer at Nike. These accomplished alumni will be presented with the prestigious SCAD45 Alumni Award for their exceptional contributions to their professions and in exemplifying the significance of a SCAD education.

Annual event Marks 45th Anniversary of the University

The annual event, which is now in its 18th year, is also a celebration of SCAD’s 45th anniversary. From fashion to furniture design, students from around 18 diverse degree programs of the university will be participating in SCADstyle 2024. The event exhibits a representation of the university’s broad approach to education in arts, thereby demonstrating its commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment for its students.
