Savannah, Georgia: In an attempt to foster transparent participation in city developments, the City of Savannah has announced a public hearing to discuss and finalize Savannah’s Housing and Community Development FY2025 One-Year Action Plan. This hearing is slated to take place at the Coastal Georgia Center Auditorium on Wednesday, May 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Officials from various City Departments are expected to focus on discussing current goals, objectives, strategies, and priorities relating to city spending of approximately $3.3 million. These funds are earmarked for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and HOME Investment Partnership funds in 2025.
In a separate session, the Department of Human Services intends to host a work session for ESG and CDBG grant applicants that is scheduled for Thursday, May 9 at 2 p.m., also at the Coastal Georgia Center Auditorium. All grant applicants have been notified that the deadline for application submissions has been set as Monday, June 20 at 5 p.m.
