Hey there, Savannah! The most wonderful time of the year is finally here, and if you’re all about spreading that holiday cheer, then you’re in luck! Santa Claus is making his rounds, and there are plenty of festive spots around the city for you and your loved ones to catch a glimpse of the jolly man himself. So, grab the hot cocoa, put on your favorite holiday sweater, and let’s dive into where to find Santa this season!
First up is the spectacular Santa’s Wonderland, which is now open and will be welcoming visitors through Christmas Eve, that’s Tuesday, December 24. It’s an enchanting spot where families can make memories that’ll last a lifetime! You won’t just get to meet Santa—he’s offering a free 4×6 photo with him, along with a free shareable video to capture those magical moments. Keep in mind that reservations are required and you can book your spot up to seven days in advance to make sure you don’t miss out. 🎅✨
That’s not all, folks! For all you pet lovers out there, head over to Macy’s for a chance to snap a pic with Santa starting from Friday, November 22, right through to Christmas Eve! Make those furry friends part of the family holiday fun! Reservations can be made online, but don’t worry if you’re walking in on a whim—walk-ups are also welcome! The Santa set-up will be right in front of Macy’s, and who wouldn’t want their four-legged friend in a holiday photo?
If you’re looking for something a little different, check out Bass Pro Shops. They’re offering exciting “Christmas Tales” with Santa or Mrs. Claus, along with special Yuletide Breakfasts and some festive crafts! It’s a cheerful way to kick off the season. Make sure to swing by their location at 14045 Abercorn St. for a fun-filled day with the whole family.
Mark your calendars, because the Savannah Santa Train is back! Join in the holiday fun on Saturday, December 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Georgia State Railroad Museum. Imagine all those kids’ faces lighting up as they enjoy holiday-themed activities not just on the train but at the neighboring Savannah Children’s Museum as well! The admission for this delightful event is just $17 for Coastal Heritage Society members and $20 for non-members. What a great deal for a whole day of holiday fun!
There’s no shortage of festive activities around Savannah this holiday season! Whether it’s finding the perfect spot for photos with Santa, or attending one of the many exciting events happening throughout the city, you’ve got plenty of opportunities to make this holiday special. So gather your family and friends, and let’s make some unforgettable memories together!
