Exciting Fundraising Event “Play it Forward” to Support Mental Health Services in Savannah

Exciting Fundraising Event Coming to Savannah: “Play it Forward”

Savannah is buzzing with excitement as Heads-Up Guidance Services (HUGS) gears up for its annual fundraising extravaganza, “Play it Forward”. This revamped event, formerly known as Boo Bash, is set to take place on Friday, September 27, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Alee Shrine, located at 100 Eisenberg Dr, Savannah, GA 31406.

A Night of Fun for a Worthy Cause

The evening promises a delightful mix of entertainment and community spirit. Attendees can look forward to enjoying a delicious meal catered by Catered Creations by Lavon, while the talented Junkyard Angel fills the atmosphere with lively tunes. Adding to the merriment will be the ever-charismatic Renee LaSalle, who will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.

But that’s not all! Guests will have the chance to try their luck at casino games hosted by Monte Carlo Productions. Expect an open bar to keep the drinks flowing, and don’t miss out on the enticing silent auction and big-ticket raffle prizes that will surely be up for grabs.

Support Mental Health Initiatives

This spirited event is more than just an evening of fun; it also serves a crucial purpose. All proceeds will benefit HUGS, a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable and accessible mental health counseling and addiction recovery services for both children and adults in the Savannah area. Andrea Mamalakis Epting, the founder and CEO of HUGS, shared her hopes for the event, stating, “We hope that locals will rally around this event to not only support mental health but also to support HUGS’ devoted volunteer counselors who donate their time pro-bono to serve the Savannah community.”

Indeed, since HUGS operates without third-party funding, the organization relies on community support and events like “Play it Forward” to continue its vital work. “We are counting on event attendees to connect, enjoy, eat, and play!” Epting added with enthusiasm.

Get Your Tickets!

This event is open to the public for individuals aged 21 and over. Tickets are available for $100 each or two for $150. To make the most of this fun-filled night and support an essential cause, potential guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance.

To snag your tickets or learn more about “Play it Forward,” visit the official HUGS website at headsupsavannah.org/events. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to have a great time while making a difference in your community!

Wrap-Up

As the date draws closer, it’s clear that “Play it Forward” is set to be an unforgettable evening in Savannah, filled with laughter, connection, and the joy of giving back. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a night out with friends or make a meaningful contribution to mental health services, this event promises to deliver on all fronts. We can’t wait to see you there!
