Hey there, folks of Hilton Head Island! It’s that time of year again—one of our most cherished traditions is just around the corner! The popular Oyster Festival is back and will take place on November 8th and 9th, 2024. Mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss this incredible event that brings together both locals and visitors for an unforgettable weekend filled with food, fun, and community spirit!
For over 30 years, the Oyster Festival has been a highlight of the fall season here on the island, and it’s not just about the oysters (though those are a big draw!). This festival, hosted by Island Rec, showcases the freshest local oyster clusters and mouthwatering shrimp, alongside a vibrant atmosphere of live music, artisan pop-up shops, and engaging activities for the little ones.
But the fun doesn’t stop at food! The event serves an important purpose—it’s a vital fundraiser for the Children’s Scholarship Fund of Island Rec. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, the fund ensures that not a single child in our community is denied access to quality childcare or recreational activities due to financial constraints. Last year alone, over $300,000 was awarded to assist families in need, with one in three children benefiting from these scholarships.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Looking to bring a group? There are discount packages available for parties of 2 and 4, but make sure to grab them before October 23 as they can’t be bought on the day of the event. And don’t call it a night just yet! The fun continues at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel’s Hightide Rooftop Bar, located just across the street from Lowcountry Celebration Park. Enjoy happy hour offers and keep the festivities rolling after the festival wraps up!
Remember, this is a rain-or-shine event and a fantastic way to indulge in local flavors while supporting a great cause. All sales are final, so get your tickets soon! Come join the community for a weekend filled with great food, lively music, and the spirit of togetherness. We can’t wait to see you there!
