CHRISTOPHER K. MIDDLETON Honored As Top 100 Lawyer of 2023
Noted attorney Christopher K. Middleton has been named as one of the Top 100 Lawyers of the year 2023. Top 100 Lawyers’ Board of Directors selected Middleton for this prestigious recognition due to his significant contributions to the legal profession and his community.
14 Years of Excellence in Law
Having served for over 14 years in the field of law, this award-winning attorney graduated from Vermont Law School. With an impressive track record ranging from civil litigation to major crime defense, Middleton’s client-centered approach to representation has earned him high acclaim within the Savannah, Georgia legal community. He attributes his success to a strong work ethic, instilled by both his mother and former collegiate head coach, now Defensive Coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, Steven Wilkes.
Prior to co-founding his own law firm Cox, Rodman & Middleton, LLC, Middleton worked as the interim Chief Public Defender for the Eastern Judicial Circuit where he resolved more than 2000 cases, from homicide to revocation hearings. His firm aims to reflect racial and gender diversity within the legal profession and partner with local community initiatives.
Servant Leader In Community
Beyond his professional achievements, Middleton is actively involved in various community projects and initiatives, with a strong focus on empowering and uplifting the community. As a board chair for Deep Center, Inc, he seeks to empower the youth of Savannah through creative art and writing. He firmly believes that as a lawyer and a servant leader, it is his responsibility to uphold the rule of law, protect the principles of the constitution, and uplift the community.
He also serves as a board member for Georgia Appleseed, working towards increasing access to justice in Georgia. Furthermore, he volunteers with the Chatham-Savannah Citizens Advocacy, Inc, training locals to become advocates for citizens experiencing discrimination due to their disability.
Love For The Law And Art
Despite his busy professional schedule, Middleton enjoys playing chess, writing poetry, and painting. He also takes pride in his personal art collection, which dates back to his undergraduate years at Savannah State University. He credits Professors Clara Aguero and Charles J. Elmore for inspiring his lifetime love of art and poetry.
Upcoming Election
Currently, Middleton is a candidate for Superior Court Judge for Chatham County in the upcoming May 21, 2023 election.
