For those who share a passion for literature, the Lowcountry Book Club Convention is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts and authors under one roof. The event is being organized by the Pat Conroy Literary Center, in collaboration with the supportive Pulpwood Queens Books Club, ensuring that it’s as enriching as it is fun!
Kick-off the festivities on Friday evening at the Technical College of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, where the excitement begins with a stimulating panel discussion. Here, you’ll hear from four talented authors: Virginia Hall-Apicella, Michael DeWitt, Pete Masalin, and Kim Poovey. Their unique perspectives and writing experiences promise to spark great conversations. Moderated by Jonathan Haupt, the executive director of the Conroy Center, this session promises to be a highlight of the night, followed by a delightful book signing reception featuring delicious treats catered by Debbi Covington.
On Saturday, the convention moves to the Culinary Institute of the South in Bluffton, where the excitement only continues to grow! Attendees will enjoy keynote conversations with three distinct authors while indulging in gourmet box lunches from Downtown Catering. With an array of topics and genres being discussed, there’s something for everyone!
One of the stars of Saturday is Kimberly Brock, bestselling author of The Lost Book of Eleanor Dare and The Fabled Earth, which is set to release on October 1st.
