Region 2 saw Byrnes shut out Wade Hampton with a dominant performance, ending in a 52-0 blowout. Dorman managed to defeat Riverside 24-13, Gaffney edged Boiling Springs 28-22, and Spartanburg rolled past Eastside 49-6.
Moving to AAAA, Region 2 featured Greer with an impressive victory over Berea, 63-0. Pickens outlasted Blue Ridge 35-26, while Seneca dominated Travelers Rest 63-12. In Region 4, Airport defeated Aiken 34-16 and North Augusta took down Gilbert 37-14.
In AA Region 7, East Clarendon beat Lake City 28-12, while Kingstree returned with a strong win over Marion 52-16. In Class A, Baptist Hill managed to edge out Bethune-Bowman 28-8, and Cross blanked Military Magnet 56-0.
One of the standout performances of the week belonged to Gaffney, who triumphed in overtime against Boiling Springs, 28-22. South Florence showed their strength with a second-half surge, beating Crestwood 42-7. In a nail-biter, Blackville-Hilda held on to beat Denmark-Olar 20-12 with a strong rushing performance.
Wando secured a significant victory over West Ashley, winning 21-7. Wando’s quarterback Harris Stone threw for two touchdowns and also connected with tight end Brock Feinberg for a long touchdown, contributing to the team’s strong performance under new head coach Isaiah Perrin. This success marked Wando’s third win of the season, and the team is looking to build on this momentum moving forward.
