Greenbriar Children’s Center Celebrates 75 Years of Impacting Lives in Savannah
Savannah, Ga. – On a beautiful Friday evening, the Greenbriar Children’s Center, Inc. threw a grand bash to celebrate an incredible milestone – their 75th Gala. Held at the luxurious Hyatt Regency Hotel, the event brought together community members, supporters, and friends for an evening dedicated to the amazing journey that has been crucial for so many families and children over the decades.
Since its establishment back in 1949, Greenbriar has been a beacon of hope for children in Savannah and its neighboring areas. What started as an orphanage for African American children, thanks to include the generous donations from local philanthropist Adeline Graham and the visionary support of Rev. Today, it serves children and families from all walks of life, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to providing services that promote healthy development and family strengthening.
Over the years, Greenbriar has expanded its reach and refined its offerings. The center provides a wide array of programs that cater to the varying needs of the families they serve. Among their offerings are:
Each initiative is designed with a heartfelt aim – the nurturing of children and the strengthening of families. Their diligent work has earned them accreditation from the Council of Accreditation for Children and Family Services as well as a Georgia Quality-Rated status for their early learning programs, highlighting their commitment to high-quality services.
If you missed the gala but still feel inspired to contribute to the future of children in our community, you’re in luck! Greenbriar invites anyone wanting to make a positive impact to give online.
