Felder & Associates Welcomes Senior Project Architect Bob Poticny, Ushering in a New Era in Savannah’s Architectural Scene

Exciting New Chapter for Savannah’s Felder & Associates with Welcoming of Bob Poticny

In the heart of Savannah, where history meets innovation, an exciting development is making waves in the architectural scene! Felder & Associates, an award-winning firm celebrated for its stunning designs and dedication to historic preservation, has just welcomed an impressive addition to its talented team: Senior Project Architect Bob Poticny.

A Wealth of Experience at Hand

Bob, who co-founded Greenline Architects and has over thirty years of experience under his belt, is no stranger to the Savannah community. His artistic journey began with The Spriggs Group, eventually leading him to their collaborative projects at Hansen Architects, where he first joined forces with Brian Felder. Their professional bond grew stronger over the years as they established Poticny Deering Felder, later merging with Bazemore Mastrianni Wilson Architects to form Greenline Architecture in 2007.

Now, as Poticny steps into this pivotal role at Felder & Associates, he brings not just his remarkable design skills but also a treasure trove of knowledge about the local market. With over 70 retail stores for Parker’s and Enmarket to his name, not to mention his profound experience restoring historical buildings, he’s ready to take on exciting new challenges.

Shared Passion for Mentorship

“I’ve known Bob for almost 30 years, and he understands this business in this market like few people I’ve met,” said Brian Felder, the firm’s Founder and Principal Architect. His admiration for Poticny goes beyond professional respect; he sees their shared vision of fostering young talent as a perfect match. “His willingness to mentor our younger talent aligns perfectly with our vision for the future, and I’m confident his expertise will significantly impact the firm’s direction in a positive way.”

A Heart for Community and Cars

But it’s not just about work for Bob Poticny. This Savannah native, now residing on Wilmington Island, has a big heart for his community. He spent eight years as a Boy Scout pack leader, guiding young minds and developing their skills. Furthermore, he dedicated twelve years serving on his homeowner’s association board, proving his commitment to making a positive impact in his neighborhood.

Bob also has a creative side outside of architecture—he’s a classic car enthusiast! Not only does he love restoring classic cars, but he’s also into die-cast Hot Wheels and full-size Ford Mustangs! Isn’t that just a fun twist to his architectural background?

Building for the Future

As he steps into his new role, Poticny shares his enthusiasm about working with the dynamic team at Felder & Associates. “The young talent at Felder & Associates is truly energetic,” he exclaimed, clearly excited about the opportunity to collaborate. “I’m eager to share my experience and collaborate with them, fostering a dynamic exchange of knowledge that will take the firm to even greater heights.”

His presence is set to not only enhance the superb work at Felder & Associates but also inspire an entire new generation of architects looking to leave their own mark in the world. With such a remarkable background and commitment to both mentorship and community, Bob Poticny is ready to light the path forward for Felder & Associates and its vibrant community of creatives. Here’s to new beginnings in Savannah’s architectural future!
