Exciting New Restaurants Set to Open in Savannah!

Hey food lovers! If you’ve been strolling around Savannah lately, you’ve probably noticed the buzzing energy in the air—and we’re not just talking about the atmosphere! Savannah’s dining scene is on the brink of an exciting expansion, and we’re thrilled to share all the delicious details with you. Let’s take a little foodie tour of what new spots to look out for in our lovely city.

Eastern Wharf is Heating Up!

First up, we’ve got the Eastern Wharf development, where there’s some cool stuff cooking! One shining star making its debut will be Bowdie’s Chophouse, a small steakhouse chain from Michigan that already has a location on Hilton Head Island. Although we were hoping for a Fall 2024 opening, it looks like we might need to be a bit more patient. But hold tight, it’s on its way!

Also at Eastern Wharf, get ready to welcome Coop de Ville, which hails from Pittsburgh. Known for its fried chicken and mouth-watering Southern sides, this fast-casual eatery promises to be the talk of the town. Imagine savoring freshly baked pies and pastries while enjoying good company!

New Pubs and Taverns on the Horizon

If you’re a fan of the vibrant Wexford Pub at City Market, you’ll be happy to hear that the same ownership group is gearing up to open First City Tavern on River Street, in the space formerly known as Kevin Barry’s. This isn’t just any old pub; the owners wanted to create something unique and fresh. Expect a totally new vibe and menu that steps away from traditional pub fare. You can expect to see this charming spot pop up sometime next summer!

Pizza and Pastas Coming Your Way

Looking for Italian? Southern Cross Hospitality, the folks behind local favorites like The Collins Quarter and Fitzroy, are crafting an upscale Italian restaurant on Broughton Street near Bull. But that’s not all—another Italian gem is on the way to the Starland District, and yet another one is planned for the Victorian District. Lots of pasta lovers will be dancing in the streets soon!

Speaking of Broughton Street, we’ve got Paris Baguette, a national chain famous for its pre-made French pastries and coffees, planning to set up shop at the iconic location of 24 East Broughton Street. This is sure to be a fan favorite, especially since they’re already a hit on Hilton Head Island!

More Culinary Delights Await

On the creative front, a small plates concept featuring a raw bar is set to open near Whitaker Street. Plus, the amazing E-Tang Noodle Bar and Ramen is almost ready to unveil its new space in the spot that used to house Persopolis. After seeing the remodel, we can confidently say it looks stunning!

More Spots for BBQ and Chicken Lovers!

Now let’s not forget about the chicken and BBQ enthusiasts! The highly anticipated 520 Wings will soon be opening its third location on Waters Avenue near 37th Street, complete with weekend brunch. Plus, just a short distance away, the best BBQ in town, Slowfire BBQ, is gearing up to establish a permanent home on Waters. They already have a food truck in the area, but soon you’ll be able to savor your BBQ favorites without the need for a truck stop!

Exciting expansions beyond Savannah!

If you’re up for a little road trip, keep your eyes peeled for Mexicali Fresh opening in Hinesville, and if you’re in Bluffton, there’s a brand new spot called Kung Fu Cantina featuring Latin and Asian flavors. Our friends at Nom Nom Poke Shop are also working on a second location in Bluffton!

Last but not least, Big Bon Bodega is expanding their reach to Lyons, Georgia, and we can’t wait to see what they bring to this new spot!

Your Turn!

Now that you know what’s cooking, we’d love to hear from you! Are there any other amazing places we didn’t mention? Let us know—your tips are always welcome, and who knows, we might just feature them in our next food roundup!
