Exciting New Entrepreneurship Program Wraps Up in Savannah!
In the charming city of Savannah, a group of eager entrepreneurs has successfully completed the inaugural LAUNCH Savannah program, and the air is buzzing with anticipation for their upcoming celebration! The program, spearheaded by the City of Savannah’s Economic Development Department in partnership with The Creative Coast and the Small Business Assistance Corporation, was designed to nurture and support new business ideas born right in our very own community.
A Journey of Growth and Learning
Over the past 12 weeks, these 15 entrepreneurs participated in an intensive training regimen that took them through every step of building a strong business model. Out of a whopping 100 applicants, these entrepreneurs are a diverse group, with startups ranging from lawn services to scent-based marketing, workplace safety training, and even food delivery ventures! It’s incredible to see such a variety of talents and innovative ideas that reflect the spirit of Savannah.
Throughout the program, the entrepreneurs didn’t just sit in a classroom. They engaged with multiple guest speakers, many of whom are esteemed leaders and innovators from the Savannah-area. These inspiring visits allowed the participants to gain invaluable insight and advice from those who have walked the entrepreneurial path before them.
Celebrating Their Achievements
The culmination of this program will be marked by the exhilarating Liftoff event on October 8th at 5:30 PM. This special ceremony will take place at the Ben Tucker Theater located in the Savannah Cultural Arts Center. Sponsored by the Savannah Economic Development Authority, the event promises to be a fantastic showcase of local talent.
Local Mayor Van Johnson will kick off the event with remarks, followed by each of the graduating entrepreneurs taking the stage to deliver a 90-second pitch about their business ideas. It will be a moment of truth for these passionate founders, and we’re sure they’ll bring their best to the table!
