From schools to colleges, Hilton Head Island has a lot to offer in terms of education. With more than 19,000 students attending 30 Beaufort County public schools, the Beaufort County School District covers 586 square miles in the center of the South Carolina Lowcountry. There are also a number of private school alternatives. In addition, the Lowcountry is home to a number of highly regarded colleges.
