Community Celebrations and Festivities in the Lowcountry
As the lovely autumn air fills our towns, the Lowcountry is buzzing with excitement! Residents from Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton counties are gearing up for a fantastic lineup of events that bring families and friends together for some good old-fashioned fun. Here’s a peek at what’s happening in our charming corner of South Carolina.
Trick or Treat on Lee Avenue
The Town of Hampton is all set for a spooky evening as they host the Trick or Treat on Lee Avenue on October 31 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Expect a delightful parade of little ghosts, ghouls, and superheroes making their rounds! Local merchants, Chamber of Commerce members, and various community groups will join in on the festive cheer by setting up tables to hand out candy and giveaways. This year, organizers are anticipating around 500 children, ensuring that the streets will be filled with laughter and excitement.
To make this event even more special, the Chamber of Commerce will provide trick or treat bags for the little ones to collect all their goodies. If you’d like to get in on the fun and participate in this sweet adventure, reach out to Jo Ann Lamprecht via email at jlamprecht@hamptoncountysc.org or by calling 804-914-2143. Just make sure to let them know by October 25!
Inaugural Bluffton Concert Series
On the horizon, the Town of Bluffton proudly presents the inaugural Bluffton Concert Series. A celebration of music, food, and community will kick off with the popular band CornBreD taking center stage for the third concert on November 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The concert, hosted at the scenic Buckwalter Place Amphitheater Park, is completely free! Bring your family and friends, and enjoy sounds of soulful beats while munching on delicious treats from several food trucks that will be in attendance. It’s a perfect way to welcome the fall season.
4th Annual Safety Spooktacular
For families looking for a safe and educational environment to celebrate Halloween, the 4th Annual Safety Spooktacular in Bluffton is the way to go! This event takes place on October 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Oscar Frazier Park. Families will have the chance to gather important safety information while enjoying free Halloween candy. Bluffton police officers will be grilling up hot dogs, so don’t miss out on a tasty bite!
Costumes are encouraged, and there’s a costume contest scheduled for 6:30 p.m. There will also be a dog costume contest with prizes for the participants in both categories. What fun to see all our furry friends dressed up!
