Innovative Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream Store Debuts in Bluffton, Revolutionizes Traditional Dessert Scene

Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream Opens in Bluffton

A New Twist on Ice Cream

Featuring a vibrant laboratory-like setting, complete with an ice cream version of the periodic table, the newly-opened Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream in Bluffton is revolutionizing the way everyone enjoys their ice cream. This new vibrant ice cream shop resides at 65 Towne Circle, Unit 65, and is open to serve until 10 p.m. on weekdays and an hour later on weekends to cater to late-night cravings.

Reinventing Ice Cream

The Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream shop underwent its grand opening recently, and it is already causing quite a stir. To start, customers select from a menu, represented by a periodic table, clearly indicating their dessert choice. From ice creams labeled “Ic” to brownies known as “Br” and toppings such as “Cl” for hot caramel – the unique, interactive menu has already become a talking point in itself.

Expanded Offerings

Known for their innovative take on ice cream making, Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream takes pride in offering a premium selection starting at $6.55 for a small size and going up to $17.89 for a custom-made quart. Sizes include small, medium, large, pints, and quarts. For a truly immersive ice cream experience, they also offer waffle cones but are limited to blending them into ice cream or placing them atop your favorite dessert.

The shop’s menu goes beyond the typical ice cream with an array of flavors to choose from, including classic, seasonal, and unique flavors. They cater to differing lifestyle choices and dietary restrictions with yogurt, tart yogurt, and almond coconut milk bases, as well as no sugar added options.

A Dream Come True

Friends and business partners, Derek Cohen and Samantha Cain, launched Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream, with the hope of offering the community a fresh and innovative option for their dessert needs. Spotting a gap in the local ice cream scene, they wanted to provide a late-night, unique ice cream option away from the traditional choices.

“Chill-N differentiates itself from traditional ice cream parlors by flash freezing the cream or alternative milks we use right in front of you,” Cohen said. “We are able to provide a fresh product within a matter of minutes without additional preservatives that are in traditional ice creams, which leads to a smoother and creamier texture.”

The Chill-N Experience

Upon entering the shop, customers are welcomed by friendly staff, guiding them through the whole process. After selecting the size, customers get to choose their base that they can customize into a myriad of flavors like chocolate, salted caramel, Nutella, and more. “The customer then gets to add their mixins, which range from 20 different options,” Cohen adds. With your recipe in place, the concoction is then flash frozen using liquid nitrogen, resulting in a fresh and smooth ice cream texture.

Currently employing fifteen staff, Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream is primed and ready for expansion with the Savannah market their next target. Rumor has it they are also exploring potential growth in Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Atlanta. This innovative enterprise is shaking up the ice cream landscape, serving up fresh, preservative-free ice creams one scoop at a time.
