A fatal car crash in Cherokee County, South Carolina, took another tragic turn last week when a woman, injured in the same incident, passed away from her injuries. The named victim, Detra Lamontrail Geter, age 37, succumbed to the injuries she sustained in the accident on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of July 28th on U.S. 221A near Chesnee. Geter was driving south with her six-year-old daughter in the car when another vehicle, heading north, veered across the center line and hit Geter’s car head-on. The other driver was declared deceased at the scene.
