Holiday Cheer Returns to Savannah with Candle Lantern Tours

Get ready, Savannah! As the holiday season approaches, our beloved Fort Pulaski National Monument is bringing back its beloved tradition of Candle Lantern Holiday Tours. Mark your calendars for the evenings of December 13 and 14, 2024 from 6-9 p.m. each night— it’s going to be a magical experience!

A Walk Through History

Imagine taking a stroll through the historic fort, enveloped in a warm glow from candlelight and oil lamps. This enchanting setting offers the perfect backdrop for visitors to immerse themselves in the rich history of Fort Pulaski. It’s all about experiencing history in a whole new light—literally!

While you explore, there’s plenty of festive activities to enjoy. Visitors will have the chance to sample holiday refreshments, so come with your appetite! And if you’re in the mood for some holiday cheer, feel free to join in for a carol or two. It’s not all about the walks; there will also be performances by living historians bringing the past to life right before your eyes. And hold on to your hats, because there’s even a night-time cannon firing to add some excitement to the evening!

Now, here’s the scoop on how to get your tickets. The tickets for these delightful tours go on sale on November 8, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m. You’ll want to grab them quickly as this popular event tends to fill up fast! The cost of admission is $10 per adult (for those aged 16 and older) and just $1 for kids aged 15 and younger. However, keep in mind that interagency passes will not be accepted for this special event.

To attend, it’s super important to secure your reservations via the park’s official website. You can show up with either a digital or printed ticket confirmation at the park Entrance Station—easy peasy!
