Bright and Cool Days Ahead for Savannah!

Welcome back, Savannah! After a few warm days, it looks like we’re in for a refreshing change. Today, sunshine is making a comeback, and we can expect temperatures to warm up nicely to the lower 70s by lunchtime. If you step outside, you’ll feel a gentle breeze blowing from the northwest at about 5 to 10 miles per hour. Pretty pleasant, right?

This afternoon, highs will climb into the mid to upper 70s, which is about 10 degrees cooler than what we experienced yesterday. It’s kind of nice to get a break from the heat as we welcome in this cooler weather. For this evening, prepare to grab a light jacket because it’s going to be cool!

What’s in Store for Wednesday?

As we move into Wednesday, things will get even cooler. Expect lows to hit the upper 40s, especially for those folks living inland, while Savannah will be a bit warmer with lows in the lower 50s. The high for Wednesday is only going to reach the upper 60s! Just as a reminder, that’s around 10 to 15 degrees below average for this time of year. You might want to pull out your fall sweaters again.

There will be a few clouds in the sky, but the good news is that rain is not on the radar for Wednesday. It’ll just feel wonderfully crisp and fresh!

Thursday’s Morning Chill

Speaking of crisp, Thursday morning could bring one of our coldest mornings since April! Lows might dip down into the mid to upper 40s, so be prepared for that refreshing feel when you step outside. After you warm up with your coffee, it’ll still be a cool day with highs only hitting the upper 60s, but don’t fret—as the sun shines brightly, it’ll help heat things up just a bit.

Weekend Weather Outlook

As we approach the weekend, conditions will remain dry! Just keep an eye on Friday morning’s tide. With a forecast high tide estimated at 9.7 feet, minor coastal flooding could occur around Fort Pulaski, reaching minor flood stage. A Coastal Flood Advisory may be possibly issued between 8 AM and 10 AM, so it’s best to plan accordingly if you’re in that area.

After Friday’s early tide, we’re looking at nice, clear weather leading into the weekend. Temperatures will gradually rise into the 70s for the afternoons, which means it’s a great time to enjoy outdoor activities or simply relax in the warmth.

A Glimpse at Next Week

Next week promises more pleasant weather, with morning temperatures in the mid 50s on Monday and highs reaching near 80 degrees! Sounds like ideal conditions for enjoying time at the park or on the river, doesn’t it? Coworkers and friends can plan outings knowing that it won’t rain on their parade!

Keeping an Eye on Tropical Developments

In addition to our local weather, we’re keeping tabs on a couple of areas of low pressure. One system near the Leeward Islands could develop into a tropical depression by the end of the week, while another low pressure area in the Caribbean is set to bring rain to Central America. Thankfully, there are no local impacts to worry about right now, but we’ll be sure to keep everyone updated if anything changes!

So there you have it, Savannah! Enjoy the cool days ahead and don’t forget to soak up that sunshine!
