Bluffton’s long-standing restaurant, Pour Richard’s, is set to close its doors as a new Italian dining experience takes its place. Radici Italian Chophouse will open to the public on Thursday, March 27.

The renovation of the restaurant space is nearing completion, marking a notable transition from the previous establishment. Richard Canestrari and Ally Rogers, the original owners of Pour Richard’s, were celebrated for their inviting restaurant atmosphere.

Radici will retain an open kitchen design, allowing diners to observe the cooking process.
The overall aesthetic has undergone a transformation, moving towards a sleeker appearance, distinct from the prior colorful theme.

At the helm as Executive Chef will be Mattia Bianchi, a native of Torino, Italy, who brings experience from Chez Georges Bistro and Bar located on Hilton Head Island. Bianchi has expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming opening, sharing plans for family-style Sunday dinners.

Radici Italian Chophouse is part of the Chez Georges family, with owner George Casalicchio confirming the collaboration. This shift in ownership was solidified shortly before Christmas, with the finalization occurring soon after.

Key renovation plans include extending bar seating to the front where coolers were previously situated.
The menu will focus on handmade pastas, steaks, and fish.
