In January 2024, the Town Council acquired over 15 acres at the intersection of Buck Island Road and Bluffton Parkway for $2.5 million, funded by the Town’s general fund.
The Green Space sales tax, which was approved by Bluffton voters in 2022, has raised over $111 million but is set to expire on March 1.
The Bluffton Town Council is conducting due diligence for funding through Beaufort County’s Green Space Program and is committed to enhancing community spaces through active land preservation.
