Beaufort’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt Returns This Spring

Community members and visitors of Beaufort, South Carolina, are cordially invited to join the most anticipated event of the season, the fourth annual Great Helicopter Egg Drop, which features the largest Easter egg hunt in Beaufort.

The Grand Event

The Easter celebration, set to take place on Saturday, March 23rd, from 9 A.M. till 2 P.M. at Beaufort Academy, situated on Lady’s Island at 240 Sams Point Road, is guaranteed to bring a joy-filled morning to kiddos and adults alike. The event features an exciting rain of nearly 18,000 Easter eggs spilling from a helicopter onto an open field. Children, aged between 1 and 11, will engage in a thrilling race to gather as many eggs as they can.

More than just an Egg Hunt, the festival offers an atmosphere filled with excitement and an array of activities for family fun. Free photo sessions with the Easter Bunny complete with a printed picture, opportunities to enjoy face painting, an interactive visit to a petting zoo, balloon artistry, bounce houses, music, and a variety of vendors contribute to the overall festive ambiance.

Refreshing the participants will be an entire parking lot dedicated to a line-up of local food trucks offering some of the best dining choices of Downtown Beaufort, Port Royal, and Sea Islands. Attendees also stand a chance to savoring the best seafood restaurants of Beaufort while they mingle and make the most of their day out.

Registration & Prizes

Enrollment to the egg drop costs $16 per child and must be completed prior to the event. The fee covers participation in age-specific egg hunts, unlimited access to the bounce area, and a printed picture with the Easter Bunny. Additional charges apply for face painting and the petting zoo.

Among the 17,500 eggs up for grabs, children can look forward to finding numerous golden eggs that promise great prizes. This adds a hint of mystery and surprise, enhancing the festive fun.
