68th Annual Beaufort Water Festival Schedule Released

In the heart of Beaufort, South Carolina, the much-anticipated 68th Annual Beaufort Water Festival schedule has been announced. Spanning ten days of festivities, this grand event has been an integral part of Beaufort’s cultural and social scene since 1956. From sporting events to concerts, both day and night, the festival offers unparalleled fun for locals and tourists alike.

A Full Schedule Packed with Excitement

The festival will officially commence on Friday, July 12, at the Festival Arts & Crafts Market, located in the Promenade at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. The Opening Ceremonies will feature exclusive entertainment by The Parris Island Marine Band, ending with a mesmerizing fireworks display. This event is open to everyone, with gates opened from 6 pm.

Over the next couple of days, participants can engage in a wide array of events. From the Raft Race, to the Bocce and Badminton Tournaments, each day promises a wealth of recreational activities. For the young anglers, there is the much-awaited Children’s Toad Fishing Tournament. Additionally, free-to-attend Shrimp Boat tours and the enticing Sponsor’s Expo await the attendees.

The Event Schedule doesn’t slow down as the evenings roll in. The Waterfront Park will host the Concert In The Park, featuring headlining performer Parmalee, alongside opening acts Hunter Girl and Katie Lynn. Attendees will be thrilled to know that there is also a Myrtle Night Dance aimed at teenagers and special themed nights like Motown Monday, Island Time Tuesday, Talent Show Wednesday, followed by a Lowcountry Supper.

A Packed Final Week

The festival keeps up the momentum into its final week, with the Arts & Crafts Market continuing through until Sunday, July 21st. Competitive events like the Bed Race and the Beaufort Water Festival Grand Parade keep the excitement high for festival-goers. For aviation enthusiasts, the Airshow on July 20th is not to be missed, showcasing stunt planes and parachutists in action. The festivities reach a crescendo with the Commodore’s Ball, featuring live music by Shag Doctorz.

The concluding day of the festival boasts a Blessing of the Fleet and Parade of Boats on Beaufort River. The festival wraps up at 3 pm, leaving attendees with unforgettable memories and anticipation for the next year’s festival.
