Beaufort County Veterans Affairs to Host Benefits Delivery at Discharge Workshops
BEAUFORT, SC – On June 10, Beaufort County Veterans Affairs is set to host a series of workshops aimed at laying out the path for benefits delivery at discharge for veterans ready to exit the military. This crucial initiative aims to ensure a smooth transition for servicemen and women as they reintegrate into civilian life.
Workshops Schedule and Locations
The workshops will be free to attend for all active duty service members with a known separation date within the next 91-189 days and who are available to attend VA exams 45 days from the submission date. The schedule of the workshops is as follows:
- Tuesday, June 11, from 0900 to 1600 at the Four Winds Club, MCRD Parris Island
- Wednesday, June 12, from 0900 to 1600 at MCAS Beaufort, Building 807, Classroom 24
Preparation for the Workshops
Participants will need to request an electronic copy of their Service Treatment Record (STR) from their branch clinic. In addition, they should bring pertinent personal documents. These include marriage certificates, children’s social security numbers, and birth certificates. A comprehensive flyer with additional information and a QR code for convenience has been shared for interested participants.
