Beaufort’s Exciting 30th Shrimp Festival on the Horizon!

Beaufort, S.C. is buzzing with excitement as the countdown begins for the much-anticipated Shrimp Festival, celebrating a remarkable 30 years of deliciousness, fun, and community spirit! This year’s festival is set to take place on Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5, at the beautiful Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park, right in the heart of downtown Beaufort.

A Festival for Everyone

This isn’t just any festival; it promises a little something for everyone! Whether you’re a seafood lover, an arts and crafts enthusiast, or looking for family-friendly activities, the Shrimp Festival has got you covered. Grab your family and friends to delight in the fresh shrimp, marvel at handmade arts and crafts, enjoy entertaining performances, and keep the little ones happy with various activities in the Kids Corner.

Musical Lineup to Look Forward To

The tunes kick off on Friday evening with performances from Alan Price, taking the stage at 5:30 p.m., followed by the electrifying Deaz Guyz at 7:30 p.m. So, whether you want to dance the night away or just sit back and enjoy the melodies, the festival has something for everyone.

Saturday’s Highlights

Saturday promises an even fuller schedule of activities! The Coastal Education Fair runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., showcasing valuable insights into local marine ecosystems. Learn something new while enjoying live music from The Brewer Band at 11:10 a.m., Jason Lee Cook at 12:20 p.m., and Gritty FlyRight at 2:30 p.m.

And let’s not forget about the Arts & Crafts Market, open both days! Explore original, hand-crafted items from talented artisans, including stunning art, unique jewelry, cozy clothing, and beautiful woodwork. It’s the perfect place to find a keepsake or gift while supporting local creators!

More Fun Awaits!

Saturday kicks off with a unique opportunity to participate in the Run Forrest Run 5K! Starting bright and early at 8 a.m. on Bay Street at New Castle Street, runners will have the chance to traverse the same picturesque routes as seen in the iconic movie “Forrest Gump.” And don’t forget to snag a memorable photo with a friendly Forrest at the start and finish lines!

As the day winds down, the excitement continues with the 16th Annual Charity Shrimp Race, hosted by the Sea Island Rotary Club, at 3 p.m. This fun event gives attendees a chance to buy a shrimp for the race, with a whopping grand prize of $30,000! Talk about a thrilling way to end the festival!

No festival is complete without fantastic food! The lineup of food vendors is mouth-watering, featuring local favorites like Sea Eagle Market, Mother Smokin’ Good, Belly Full by Tyger, Nom Nom Poke Shop, and many more. With so many delicious options, your taste buds are in for a treat!
