Beaufort Shrimp Festival Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Family Fun and Delicious Delights

Beaufort’s Shrimp Festival is Back and Bigger Than Ever!

Beaufort, SC – After weathering the recent storm, the much-anticipated Beaufort Shrimp Festival is all set to make a splash as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this weekend! Mark your calendars for October 4 and 5, because Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park is going to be the place to be for fans of all things shrimp and fun!

A Weekend Full of Fun Awaits

The festival is packed with exciting activities for everyone. You’ll find an arts and crafts market with 40 talented artisans showcasing their hand-crafted creations, including stunning art pieces, intricate jewelry, stylish clothing, and unique wooden products. This market will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

But wait, that’s just the beginning! Kids can enjoy the Kids Corner, where they’ll find a range of fun activities designed to keep them entertained. Plus, this festival isn’t just about the kids—the whole family can revel in free live entertainment all weekend long!

Live Music to Groove To

On Friday night, make sure you catch the performances by the fabulous Alan Price at 5:30 p.m. followed by the crowd favorite Deaz Guys at 7:30 p.m.. It’s going to be a night filled with music that you won’t want to miss!

Then on Saturday, the fun continues with an array of musical acts, starting with the Brewer Band at 11:10 a.m., followed by Jason Lee Cook at 12:20 p.m., and wrapping up with Gritty FlyRight taking the stage at 2:30 p.m..

Take Part in a Special 5K Run!

If you’re looking for a way to kick off your Saturday morning, join in on the Run Forrest Run 5K Run/Walk at 8 a.m.. This is a unique chance to run the same path that was immortalized in the movie “Forrest Gump”. And who knows? You might even spot someone who looks a lot like that iconic character along the route—complete with a parasol!

Delicious Shrimp and More

What’s a shrimp festival without some mouth-watering shrimp? The food scene this year is absolutely delectable. Popular vendors like Sea Eagle Market, Mother Smokin’ Good, Belly Full by Tyger, and Locals Raw Bar will be serving up all your favorites! And don’t forget about dessert—satisfy your sweet tooth with goodies from Sassy Sweets and Island Fudge Shoppe.

Exciting Charity Events

Saturday also hosts the 16th annual Charity Shrimp Race at 3 p.m., brought to you by the Sea Island Rotary Club. With a grand prize of $30,000, this is one race you won’t want to miss! You can buy your shrimp for the race through the Sea Island Rotary.
