Beaufort Celebrates Achievements of PATH Program Graduates
On a cheerful December 11, the city of Beaufort witnessed a heartwarming celebration as nine graduates of Beaufort Memorial’s PATH Program (People Achieving Their Highest) proudly marked their success at the graduation ceremony for the program’s eighth cohort. The atmosphere was electric with excitement and hope as these graduates stepped into their new roles, ready to make waves in the healthcare field.
More Than Just a Graduation
This wasn’t just any graduation; it was a special pinning ceremony that recognized the newly certified professionals in their respective fields. Graduates from Cohort 8 ventured into various tracks, including Clinical Medical Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, Central Sterile Processing, and the newly introduced Endoscopy Technicians program, which celebrated its very first two graduates! Truly a moment of pride for everyone involved!
Celebrating Achievements
Among the graduates, five earned certifications as Certified Clinical Medical Assistants, while four were honored as Certified Patient Care Technicians. Joy Solomon, the Director of Education at Beaufort Memorial, spoke passionately about the courage it takes to enroll in such an ambitious program. “There are three realms of success in PATH, and the first is having the courage to sign on,” she said. “Everybody who is signing on is going back to school; they’re taking on something that is stressful.”
The spirit of accomplishment was palpable, with each graduate being celebrated not only for completing their coursework but also for obtaining national certification. Joy joyfully added, “We’re celebrating those who have completed the program successfully, and we’re celebrating those who have completed the program and have gotten the national certification. We’re very grateful for all the students who did the work and studied hard.”
Future Awaits for New Cohort
But the celebrations didn’t stop there! The event also honored seven individuals who newly signed up for PATH Cohort 9, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Among these individuals are three employees committing to pursuing their registered nurse (RN) licenses through the program.
The PATH Program stands out with its comprehensive approach, featuring scholarships, clinical training, and even non-traditional financial assistance to encourage career advancement. This is a vital initiative aimed at fostering a healthier, stronger healthcare network in the Lowcountry region. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!
