Head over to the Beaufort Candy Shoppe located at 103 West St. Ext. on Saturday from 1-5 p.m. to catch a glimpse of the one and only Santa Claus himself! Kids (and adults) can snap a photo with Santa while soaking in the sweet atmosphere of the Candy Shoppe. Plus, you’ll have a chance to support local artists at the pop-up market happening at The Arsenal on Craven Street from noon-4 p.m.. Enjoy delicious food from local trucks and keep your ears tuned for street musicians offering a festive soundtrack to your day.

A Glimpse into History with a Musical Twist

One of the must-see events this year is The Gullah Kinfolk Christmas Wish, an interactive musical that tells the poignant story of the last Christmas before the Civil War on a South Carolina plantation. Set to take place at the USCB Center for the Arts at 7 p.m., this performance offers a heartfelt reminder of the complexities of our history. Tickets are available online for anyone looking to experience a unique blend of entertainment and storytelling that touches the soul.

Night on the Town: Food, Fun, and Festivities!

Get ready for a bustling Night on the Town this Friday! Streets will close at 3:30 p.m. as the festive vibe picks up with local businesses offering complimentary food and drinks. Stroll down Bay Street for various booths hosted by non-profit organizations and indulge in delicious bites from downtown restaurants. The evening’s entertainment includes a delightful performance by the Parris Island Marine Corps Band and a special reading of the classic “The Night Before Christmas.” The highlight? A magnificent tree lighting ceremony that promises snow at 8:30 p.m. – yes, you read that right – snow in South Carolina!

A Taste of Gullah Traditions

For our friends celebrating Chanukah, the menorah lighting at Waterfront Park will take place from 5-6:30 p.m., adding more brilliance to the night sky with a dazzling fireworks display!
