The Town of Port Royal in Beaufort County is set to be the location of a new library branch, as decreed by an official resolution of the Beaufort County Council on April 30, 2024. The resolution has named the new library after the former mayor of Port Royal, Samuel E. Murray, in honor of his remarkable service to the town.

The Legacy of Samuel E. Murray

The planned facility will be the first such one in the Town of Port Royal, located at 1408 Paris Avenue. Samuel E.
