In a recent development in Beaufort County, S.C., a simple traffic stop late Tuesday culminated in the apprehension of a wanted man. Jamory Russell, a 26 year-old male, was placed under arrest and charged with attempted murder as well as the possession of a weapon in the midst of a violent crime.
This arrest corresponds with a violent shooting incident that took place on March 25. An individual sustained injuries during the event which took place on Peaceful Way in Grays Hill. After receiving treatment at a hospital based in the Charleston area, the victim was released. The Beaufort County Sheriff’s deputies have identified Russell as the prime suspect behind this misdeed.
On the Tuesday evening in question, deputies executed a traffic stop on Trask Parkway. Russell was present in the car, alongside Stevetta Jackson, aged 32. Jackson was simultaneously arrested and charged with driving under suspension and habitual offender violation.
Presently, both Russell and Jackson have been detained at the Beaufort County Detention Center where they await further legal proceedings.
