On December 6th, starting at 10 a.m., the Public Works Department, along with the Park and Tree Advisory Commission (PTAC), will be planting two magnificent _Allee Elm trees_ to add a touch of green to our beautiful city!

Gather at Palmetto Street, right outside the Beaufort Police Department, for a morning filled with community spirit, tree love, and maybe even a little dirt under your nails. The planting of these impressive trees is not just a simple task; it’s a commitment to keeping Beaufort’s urban forest thriving, which is no small feat!

Beaufort has always shown a passion for greenery, and it’s no secret why! For 33 incredible years, the National Arbor Day Foundation has recognized our city as a _Tree City USA_. PTAC), a solid community forestry program, and, of course, a fabulous Arbor Day celebration! With all this, it’s no wonder our city is a picturesque canvas of nature and art!

As the famous artist Bob Ross once said, “There’s nothing wrong with having a tree as a friend.” And we couldn’t agree more!
