LOST AND FOUND: The Alida launches new Mediterranean menu at The Lost Square Rooftop Bar

Exciting news for food lovers in Savannah as The Alida announces the launch of a new Mediterranean menu at popular local haunt, The Lost Square Rooftop Bar. The announcement comes after a year-long project of reimagination, reconfiguring, and retooling of the rooftop bar’s culinary offerings has recently been completed.

The New Rooftop Experience

Since its inception in 2018, The Alida has been at the forefront of the burgeoning food scene in Savannah. Bruno Sanchez, director of food and beverage at the hotel, shared that The Lost Square now has its own dedicated kitchen, where a range of scratch-made Mediterranean dishes are crafted, including the carte of offerings.

“We’ve been keeping it a secret,” Sanchez revealed, “We wanted to create a personality for The Lost Square and not just serve food that was an extension of another restaurant.”

Aesthetics and Capacity

The dining space has been revamped with new elegant furniture and a brand-new kitchen. Seating capacity for guests has substantially increased, enhancing the overall dining experience. And the sunset views against the ever-changing horizon? They’ve only grown more stunning.

The space can now accommodate over seventy guests, making it a casual yet chic meeting point for friends or date nights. Sanchez emphasized, “It’s still a bar, but you can now have a full meal of shareable bites and finger foods while enjoying cocktails.”

What’s on the Menu?

The Lost Square’s new menu sings with the flavors of the Mediterranean – from Portugal to Lebanon. With herbs and aromatic spices creating a distinct and exciting flavor profile, the menu promises a dining experience designed to be shared and savored.

Among the highlights are the Mediterranean dip medley served with housemade pita bread, falafel bites, and the sizable blistered cabbage wedge. For the seafood lovers, local Georgia shrimp skewered and glazed with harissa and honey is a must-try.

Fulfilling the entrée category of the menu is a trio of Mediterranean-themed offerings. From Springer Mountain Farms chicken thighs cooked Lebanese style, to a DIY pork shawarma or a whole branzino for two, there is a dish to satisfy every craving.

Go Ahead, Treat Yourself!

No visit would be complete without a taste of the baklava sundae. The sweet dish features phyllo, honey, vanilla ice cream topped with caramel and chopped pistachios – a real treat for the sweet tooth.

Overall, The Lost Square’s makeover and new menu significantly boost its place on Savannah’s culinary map. Here, guests can enjoy breathtaking views and indulge in a feast of Mediterranean flavors. The Lost Square, located at 413 Williamson Street in The Alida, is the perfect sunset destination in Savannah, ready to host you with lip-smacking falafel and much more.
