“What Do You See?” Abstract Art Show Scheduled for October Exhibition

In the city of Bluffton, an upcoming event has the local arts scene abuzz with excitement. The Society of Bluffton Artists (SOBA) is thrilled to announce the next featured artist exhibit, “What Do You See?” by artist Jane Capraro. Famously known by her artistic signature “JC Kuller,” Capraro will be showcasing some of her most captivation abstract pieces that are tantamount to diving into different worlds, taking viewers on an emotional journey.

Exhibition Details

The much-anticipated exhibition is scheduled to run from Sunday, October 6th through Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, at the SOBA gallery. The community is warmly invited to join the exhibition’s opening reception on Friday, October 11th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the artist and her thought-provoking work.

About the Artist: Jane Capraro

After a successful stint in the banking sector in New York City, Capraro returned to her first love, painting. Her artistic journey takes inspiration from her father, John Kuller, an accomplished illustrator and oil painter. She honours his legacy by signing her artworks with her maiden name, ‘Kuller.’ Under the mentorship of Missy Gentile at SOBA, Capraro explored the world of abstract and abstract expressionism, developing a unique style filled with energy, hidden meaning, and raw emotional honesty. Owing to her remarkable talent, Capraro received the prestigious “Best in Show” award for her abstract piece “The Queen” in 2024.

Capraro’s Expression Through Art

Capraro sees painting as a freeing and creative outlet that allows her to interpret and express her vision of the world. In her own words, she aims to create art that transcendent, pointing the viewer into different worlds that can be humorous, magical, peaceful, sad, or might speak of an injustice or challenge.
