Exciting Events Coming Up in the Lowcountry

As the sun sets on another day in the beautiful Lowcountry, the community gears up for a series of fun-filled events for all ages. From Halloween celebrations to concerts and workshops, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton counties.

Trick or Treat on Lee Avenue

Mark your calendars for October 31st! The Town of Hampton and the Hampton County Chamber of Commerce are excited to host the Trick or Treat on Lee Avenue. This spooktacular event will run from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and promises to be a night of sweet treats and community fun. Downtown merchants, Chamber members, and local organizations will set up tables to hand out candy and goodies for the kids. Organizers expect about 500 trick-or-treaters! Not to worry, as the Chamber of Commerce will provide trick or treat bags for all the little ghouls and goblins. Third Concert at Buckwalter Place

Get ready to rock! November 1st will see the third concert feature CornBreD at Buckwalter Place Amphitheater Park from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This concert is completely free, so grab your friends and family and enjoy the music under the stars. Several delicious food trucks will be on hand, so come hungry!

Honoring Our Veterans

Join the Bluffton American Legion Post 205 for its Annual Veterans’ Day Parade on November 11th at 10 a.m. in Old Town Bluffton. This event is open to all, and you’re encouraged to participate in showing your appreciation for our veterans across all ages and conflicts. Get Artistic with Linocuts

If you’re feeling creative, don’t miss the Linocuts Printmaking Workshop at the Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage on October 26th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the exciting world of linocut printmaking. For just $45 (or $40.50 for Heritage members), you’ll learn to carve, print, and create marvelous art pieces guided by artist and educator Ian Welch. Reserve your spot at the Morris Center’s website. Spots fill quickly, so don’t delay!

Echoes of Honey Hill

On November 9th, come experience a unique fundraising event called Echoes of Honey Hill. This symposium will celebrate the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Honey Hill, featuring insights from experts Jacob Wike, Michael Skinner, and Dr. Walter Curry. Attendees will enjoy a gourmet buffet menu inspired by the era, alongside beer and wine. A special VIP ticket option is available for $250, allowing access to an exclusive battlefield tour before the symposium. Tickets for this remarkable experience can be found on the Morris Center’s website.

Veterans Appreciation Lowcountry Boil

Finally, mark November 15th on your calendar for a special Lowcountry Boil for veterans at Sergeant Jasper Park in Hardeeville from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event is open to all veterans and their dependents, regardless of service status. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy great food while being appreciated for your service to the country.
