Exciting Events for Pet Owners in Savannah: Free Vaccination and Adoption Days Ahead!

Pet vaccination event

Exciting News for Pooch and Kitty Lovers in Savannah!

Savannah, Georgia, is buzzing with excitement as One Love Animal Rescue has announced two fantastic events that promise to bring joy and support to both pets and their owners in our community. Thanks to a generous $4,000 grant from Chatham Subaru, administered by the ASPCA®, these events are all set to make a pawsitive difference!

Free Vaccination and Microchipping Event

Kickstarting the festivities, the first event is a free dog and cat vaccination and microchipping day at Daffin Park! Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 13, because from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., pet parents will have the chance to get their beloved furry friends vaccinated and microchipped at no cost. It’s a perfect opportunity to ensure your pets are healthy and secure!

This vaccination event will cover essential core vaccinations for dogs and cats. Plus, microchipping also enhances your pet’s chances of returning home safely should they ever get lost. Remember, though, there are a few guidelines: no appointments are necessary, but supplies are limited. Also, to keep things running smoothly, services will be restricted to 2 pets per household.

Adoption Event for Loving Homes

The second exciting event will take place a week later, on Saturday, October 19. If you’ve been thinking about welcoming a new furry friend into your family, this is your chance! From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Chatham Subaru, located at 100 Kita Ave, Pooler, GA, will be hosting a pet adoption day, featuring adorable dogs and cats who are eagerly waiting for their forever homes.

“We are incredibly grateful to our partners at Chatham Subaru for supporting our mission and the pets in our community,” shared Karrie Bulski, the CEO & Co-Founder of One Love Animal Rescue. Her passion for helping both pets and pet parents shines through in her words. “We have such loving dogs and cats in search of forever homes, and we also have loving pet parents who need just a little extra support so they can keep their pets.” It’s heartwarming to see such a beautiful connection in action!

Supporting Pet Owners

These events are part of One Love Animal Rescue’s Operations Pet Solutions Program, which aims to help pet owners who may be struggling to keep their furry companions. The goal is to provide resources that prevent pet surrender due to financial hardships and to ensure that the bond between pets and their families remains strong.

During the vaccine event, pet owners can also obtain vouchers for low-cost spay and neuter services to help manage pet population effectively. It’s a win-win situation for both animals and their caring families!

What to Bring

If you’re planning to attend the vaccination event, don’t forget a few important items: all dogs must be on a leash, and all cats must be in separate carriers to keep them safe and comfy. For those who may need help, One Love will have limited pet carriers, leashes, and pet food available on-site.

Vaccine List

Here’s a quick rundown of the vaccines that will be offered:

  • Rabies for dogs and cats
  • DHPP for dogs
  • FVRP for cats
