Early Tuesday afternoon, emergency services including Burton Fire District, Parris Island Fire and Emergency Services, Beaufort County EMS, and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, were dispatched to a mobile home fire at Stillwood Lane in Grays Hill. Initial reports indicated that the blaze was rapidly spreading, posing significant threats to adjacent residences.

Upon arrival, Burton fire crews encountered a mobile home fully engulfed in flames. The burning structure was in close proximity to another residence, less than 50 feet away. The fire had not only taken hold of the mobile home but had also spread to a neighboring power pole and was encroaching on another residence’s yard, amplifying the potential danger to the nearby homes and residents.
