Nikki Haley Campaigns in Bluffton
Republican Presidential Hopeful Makes Her Mark in The Small South Carolina Town
BLUFFTON, S.C. Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has embarked on a comprehensive bus tour through South Carolina, one stop of which was the charming coastal town of Bluffton. The visit to Bluffton is part of a wider campaign trail the aspirant has undertaken ahead of the early voting in the Republican primary.
Haley Highlights Importance of Early Voting
In her positioning, Haley underscored the significance of casting one’s ballot during the primary phase of the elections. She stated emphatically, “If they want to make a difference, this is the way to do it. Vote early, or vote on February 24th.”
Haley Responds to Trump’s Comments
Not only did Haley cover familiar topics in her campaign, but she also pushed back against comments made by Donald Trump. The Republican Presidential Candidate challenged Trump’s provocative approach encouraging Russia to take advantage of NATO countries that fail to meet their dues. The former South Carolina Governor also refuted his remarks about her husband, who is currently serving in the US military. “He’s siding with someone who has literally tried to defeat the United States for years“, Haley added.
Former Mayor Lisa Sulka Advocates for Haley
Haley received a warm welcome from former Bluffton mayor, Lisa Sulka, who introduced the presidential candidate highlighting her many achievements. Sulka read out a selection of her preferred Haley quotes before stressing the latter’s crucial role in obtaining sponsorship for the Heritage Golf Tournament. According to Sulka, “She is the reason that 13 years later, we are all going to celebrate the RBC Heritage of golf presented by Boeing.”
Undaunted Support For Haley in Bluffton
Some spectators shared with us their intention to head straight to the polling stations following the event to cast their vote for Haley. A local Bluffton resident, Graham Painter, expressed his enthusiastic support, declaring, “I think her message has been growing and I feel good about her, in fact, I’ve been feeling better and better about her. This is the second event here in Bluffton I’ve gone to see her, and her message is just fantastic, it’s what America needs.”
