South Carolina, known for its high caliber baseball teams, kickstarts the 2024 baseball season. The Palmetto State showcases teams that are competitive not only locally but also at the East Coast. The South Carolina High School Baseball Super 7 Rankings serves as an excellent measure of where teams stand in the initial phase of the season.

South Carolina Super 7 Standouts

1. Catawba Ridge

The Catawba Ridge Copperheads takes the top spot in the rankings, with a 5-0 record. They started strong with a 4-1 victory over Summerville, followed by impressive wins against teams like Blue Ridge, Laurens, Fort Mill, and South Pointe.

2. Williamsburg Academy

Coming in at second place are the Stallions from Williamsburg Academy. With a remarkable track record of 9-0, the Stallions have shown an impressive ability to score runs and shut teams out. The team has shut out wins over high-profile teams such as Lake City, Lee Academy, and Thomas Sumter Academy.

3. Hilton Head Christian Academy

The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles have a strong 9-1 run. Despite a 9-4 loss against Norfolk Academy from Virginia, the Eagles have scored victories in nine other games, including a 10-5 opener against Georgia’s Milton.

4. Trinity Collegiate

Despite a rocky start with a 12-7 loss to Florence Christian, Trinity Collegiate quickly found its footing. Finishing at fourth place in the rankings with a 7-1 record, the Titans gave up just one run in seven games post their tournament opener.

5. Laurens

Laurens Raiders took the fifth spot with a 7-2 tally. With back-to-back victories over Eastside and losses only to Catawba Ridge and Fountain Inn, the team has been promising in their performance.

6. Gray Collegiate Academy

The War Eagles of the Gray Collegiate Academy are on a winning spree with an 8-0 run. Exhibiting outstanding skills, Conner Holmes drove in 15 runs and showcased a .500 batting average.

7. Summerville

Summerville wraps up the Super 7 rankings at a respectable 3-2 scoreline. Despite early losses against Catawba Ridge and Berkeley, their promising defensive skills that saw them yield only six runs in five games provide hope for a strong season ahead.
