Celebration of Artistry: 12th annual Savannah VOICE Festival Reunion Concert Concludes

SAVANNAH Hosts the Successful End of a Grand Musical Event

Around the city of Savannah, the enchanting and melodious sounds of the 12th annual Savannah VOICE Festival’s reunion concert filled the air this past Sunday. The finale event took place at the esteemed venue 45 Bistro, bringing a close to the almost-three-week long festival attended by a host of local and international singers.

Promoting The Arts Through Opera and Musical Theatre

This year’s festival showcased captivating opera performances including The Pirates of Penzance and The Eleanors. As informed by the festival representatives, the central mission of the Savannah VOICE Festival is to spotlight the importance of arts in the community, providing an inclusive platform that allows everyone participation. Even faced with challenges as severe as hurricane disruptions, the festival still proved successful. Changes had to be made to a few venues but not even a single performance was missed.

“Our goal for the festival was to encompass as many community members as possible and to collaborate with esteemed hosts and institutions in Savannah,” remarked Festival President/Co-Founder and Artistic Director, Maria Zouves and Jorge Parodi. “Despite the hurricane, we remained steadfast. This evening is the culmination of all our hard work.”

Festival Outreach and Partnerships

The festival, a beacon of Savannah’s thriving arts scene, brilliantly hosted 26 performances all around the city. As a communal initiative, it forged successful partnerships with various local organizations and schools such as Hospice Savannah and Esther F. Garrison School for the Arts. Together, they ensured the festival met its goal of enhancing the vitality of the arts in Savannah.

Encore at the Reunion Concert

The reunion concert commenced at 5 p.m. While online tickets swiftly sold out due to high demand, tickets were also available for purchase at the venue door, allowing many to participate in this vibrant celebration of music. It served as a triumphant conclusion to the sustained efforts of all involved in the festival, from the artists, organizers to the community members.

The 12thannual Savannah VOICE Festival may have concluded, but the echoes of the performances can still be heard resonating within the arts community of Savannah, a reminder of a successful union of creative expression, community participation and determined spirit.
